Care Skills Level 2

You may be an experienced health care worker caring for clients or patients in a work environment. Alternatively, you may be new to Care or considering a career in Care.  Whatever your background or experience, we believe that this learning programme will assist you with your personal development.

The Care Skills programme gives learners the opportunity to gain a general understanding of the level of care that should be provided to all patients under their supervision.

The Care Skills course will provide you with an understanding of the various skills needed to be effective in a nursing or residential home position. The course will look at nutrition, communication, hygiene and other key areas of the care and nursing profession.  You will also learn about the GSCC Code of Practice for Social Care Workers and the responsibilities of the care worker.

The Certificate in Care Skills is ideal for individuals engaged within either a nursing or residential care environment but is also ideal to gain more knowledge about this subject or use as a stepping-stone for a career change.
